Zattoo adds Italian Crime FAST Channels Commissario Montalbano and Don Matteo
TV streaming provider Zattoo has launched two Italian crime drama FAST Channels, Commissario Montalbano and Don Matteo, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, expanding its curated series offering across the DACH region.
The channels are available immediately to users in all three markets. Commissario Montalbano features atmospheric crime stories set in Sicily, while Don Matteo centres on a crime-solving priest portrayed by Terence Hill.

The Commissario Montalbano channel combines episodes from the long-running series Commissario Montalbano and its prequel Der junge Montalbano, following detective Salvo Montalbano from his early days as a young police officer through to his later work as a commissario tackling complex cases. In total, 44 episodes from both series are available on the FAST Channel.
Don Matteo, one of Italy’s most successful long-running dramas, sees Hill play the astute parish priest Don Matteo, who helps to solve crimes in the small town of Gubbio, frequently staying one step ahead of official investigators. The FAST Channel offers six seasons comprising around 110 hours of programming.
“With Don Matteo and Commissario Montalbano, we are expanding our channel portfolio with two popular Italian crime formats and further strengthening our curated series offering,” said Tina Rodriguez, Chief Consumer Officer at Zattoo. “Both series stand for strong characters, compelling cases and distinctive settings.”
